Fact Checking Policy

Last updated 6 September 2026

Most factual claims on this site are claims about this site's own games, which makes them unusually easy to verify: the source code is the source of truth. This page explains how that verification is done and what happens when a claim cannot be verified.

The source of truth

When a guide states that gravity is 780 pixels per second squared, that the precision ring face has a 25:1 centre-to-edge ratio, or that the exposure window in Quick Draw Archer bottoms out at 0.32 seconds, that figure is read from the game's code before publication.

This is the single most important check we run, because it covers the great majority of the concrete claims on the site.

Gameplay claims

Advice about how to play - which shot to take, when to concede a target, how to structure a run - comes from playing the games. It is presented as reasoning that can be checked against the mechanics, not as a result derived from data.

Where the reasoning behind a piece of advice can be stated, the guides state it, so you can evaluate it rather than take it on trust.

How uncertainty is handled

Claims about what players typically achieve are labelled as typical. They are impressions, not measurements, and the site says so, because Archery Arcade collects no gameplay data and therefore has no statistics about its players.

Where something is genuinely unknown or varies by device, the content says that rather than picking a number that sounds authoritative.

What we do not do

We do not cite sources we have not read, invent studies, attribute quotations to people who did not say them, or present estimates as measurements.

We do not maintain an external fact-checking board or a panel of reviewers, and we do not claim to. This is a small site with one editor, and the policy describes the process that actually exists.

Corrections

When an error is identified, the content is corrected and the guide's last-updated date changes. Substantive corrections to a factual claim are made promptly rather than batched.

Reports of errors are welcome through the contact page and are treated as defects.

Re-checking after game changes

When a game's balance or mechanics change, the guides that reference the affected figures are re-checked against the new code as part of shipping that change.

This is the most common reason a guide's updated date moves.
