About Archer Rush
Acquisition, not aiming
Because shots are instant, this game measures something different from the rest of the library. There is no arc to read and no lead to calculate. The entire difficulty sits in the gap between a target appearing and your cursor arriving on it.
That skill transfers. Players who spend time here usually find Quick Draw Archer and Speed Archer noticeably easier, because they have stopped searching the whole screen and started noticing movement at the edge of their vision.
Overlap is the real difficulty
For the first fifteen seconds only one target is on screen at a time. After that they start overlapping - a second appears before the first has expired - and by the final stretch there can be four live at once with staggered timers.
Each target draws a draining ring around its edge showing how long it has left. When several are up, that ring is the only sensible way to choose which to take first.
Scoring under time pressure
Targets are worth more the sooner you hit them after they appear. A target taken in the first quarter of its lifetime pays a speed bonus on top of its ring value; one you scramble onto just before it expires pays the base value only.
Letting a target expire does not cost points directly, but it does break your combo, which is usually worth more than the target was.
How to play
- Click or tap a target the moment it appears.
- The ring around each target drains - when it empties the target is gone.
- Hit targets early for a speed bonus.
- Keep the combo alive by not letting targets expire.
- The run lasts forty five seconds.

Scoring
Points are awarded by which band of the target you hit, multiplied by your combo multiplier where the game uses one.
Tips
- Rest your cursor near the middle of the field between shots - your average travel distance drops sharply.
- When several targets are live, take the one with the emptiest ring first.
- Do not click empty space. A miss breaks the combo just as an expiry does.
- Speed bonuses compound with the combo multiplier, so fast clean stretches are worth far more than steady ones.
- Use your peripheral vision. Staring at the last target you hit is the main reason players miss the next spawn.
Common mistakes
- Chasing a target that is about to expire while a fresh one appears elsewhere.
- Clicking before the cursor has actually settled on the target.
- Leaving the cursor parked in a corner after a hit.
- Treating the last ten seconds as a lost cause - the spawn rate peaks there and so does the scoring.
