About Archery Runner
Two inputs, one rhythm
Jumping and shooting use separate controls but compete for the same attention. The targets are placed so that many of them are only reachable at the top of a jump, which forces the two actions into a single motion rather than letting you alternate.
That is the skill the game builds: acting on two timelines at once. It is the same thing Arrow Dodge asks for, arranged differently.
Distance and speed
Run speed increases continuously with distance, and so does obstacle density. There is no cap, so every run ends eventually - the question is only how far.
Distance itself scores, but far more slowly than targets do. A cautious player who jumps everything and shoots nothing will travel a long way and finish with a modest total.
Three lives and the combo
Hitting an obstacle costs a life and briefly slows you down, which is a small mercy - the slowdown gives you a moment to re-read the ground ahead.
The combo counts consecutive target hits and does not care about obstacles, so a collision does not wipe your multiplier. Missing a shot does.
How to play
- Your archer runs right automatically.
- Press Up (or the Jump button) to leap obstacles.
- Press Space (or Shoot) to fire an arrow forward.
- Many targets are only reachable at the peak of a jump.
- Three collisions ends the run.
Controls
| Where | What to do |

Scoring
Points are awarded by which band of the target you hit, multiplied by your combo multiplier where the game uses one.
Tips
- Shoot at the apex of a jump - both the target line and your arrow line up there.
- Jump early rather than late. A late jump clips the obstacle even when it looks clear.
- Do not fire at targets you cannot reach; a missed shot breaks the combo and a collision does not.
- After a collision, use the slowdown to read the next two obstacles rather than shooting.
- Distance scores slowly. If you want a high total you have to take shots.
Common mistakes
- Treating it as a runner and ignoring the targets entirely.
- Shooting on the ground at a target that is clearly above jump height.
- Jumping at the last possible moment.
- Trying to shoot during the recovery slowdown instead of resetting.
