About Arrow Dodge
The conflict is the design
The best firing position for a target is directly in line with it. The safest position is wherever the projectiles are not. Because targets and projectiles come from the same side, those two positions are frequently the same place at the wrong time.
Good players do not solve this by getting faster. They solve it by choosing which targets to skip.
Reading the incoming line
Projectiles telegraph slightly: a brief flash appears at the right edge a third of a second before one launches, at the height it will travel. That is enough warning to move if you are already looking for it.
There is no warning at all if you are focused on your own arrow's flight, which is why spraying shots is so much worse here than in the other games.
Survival scoring
Time alive scores a small trickle. Targets score properly. Because you have three lives and no time limit, the run is entirely about how long you can keep taking shots before the projectile density makes shooting impossible.
Somewhere past the ninety second mark most runs turn into pure dodging, and the score stops climbing. That transition point is the real measure of how well you played.
How to play
- Move your archer up and down with the arrow keys or the on-screen buttons.
- Press Space or Shoot to fire at the drifting targets.
- Watch the right edge for the flash that precedes an incoming projectile.
- Being hit costs one of three lives.
- The run continues until all lives are gone.

Scoring
Points are awarded by which band of the target you hit, multiplied by your combo multiplier where the game uses one.
Tips
- Watch the right edge, not your own arrow. The flash is your only warning.
- Skip targets that would put you in a projectile lane. There will be another one.
- Move to a lane, then shoot - shooting while moving wastes arrows.
- The centre of the field is the most dangerous place to idle; the edges give you a whole direction of escape.
- After losing a life you are briefly invulnerable. That is the moment to take a greedy shot.
Common mistakes
- Chasing every target regardless of what is coming.
- Sitting in the middle of the field between shots.
- Firing continuously, which occupies exactly the attention the warning flash needs.
- Wasting the invulnerability window after a hit by playing safe.
Features
