About Golden Bullseye
The shrinking clock
A golden target starts large - larger than a standard face - and loses radius continuously until it disappears entirely after about three and a half seconds. Its point value does not drop, so the payoff is identical whether you take it immediately or at the last moment.
That means there is never a reason to wait. The only reason players hesitate is that they are mid-shot on something else, which is exactly the tension the game is built around.
Five misses, no more
The miss counter is the hard limit. It is not a life bar you can regain and it does not reset between rounds. Five arrows into empty air and the run ends regardless of your score.
Because golden targets shrink, they are the likeliest source of misses. Reaching a high score requires taking them, and taking them requires spending your margin. Most runs end because a player took one golden target too many.
The combo interaction
Golden hits count toward the combo like any other, but they arrive irregularly. A player who only shoots golden targets will have a low combo and a high per-hit value; one who only shoots standard targets will have the opposite.
The highest scores come from keeping a steady rhythm on standard targets so the multiplier is already high when a golden one appears.
How to play
- Shoot standard targets to build points and keep your combo alive.
- When a golden target appears, take it quickly - it shrinks continuously.
- Golden targets are worth four times a standard hit.
- Missing entirely costs one of your five misses.
- The run ends on the fifth miss.

Scoring
Points are awarded by which band of the target you hit, multiplied by your combo multiplier where the game uses one.
Tips
- Take golden targets the moment you see them. Waiting only shrinks them - the points do not change.
- Keep a rhythm on standard targets so your multiplier is high when gold appears.
- If a golden target is already small and far, let it go. One miss is worth more than one gamble.
- Your last miss is worth protecting. Once you are on four, play standard targets only.
- Golden hits at high multiplier are where the record scores come from - build first, cash in second.
Common mistakes
- Hesitating over a golden target while it shrinks out of reach.
- Chasing a fifth golden target on your last miss.
- Ignoring standard targets entirely and finishing with a multiplier of one.
- Reloading the aim after a miss without checking whether a new golden target has appeared.
